Baby Abigail's area is almost finished. I'm going to look for some wood letters to cover in fabric and place where you see the paper mock up on the wall. We still need a mattress and bedding.
I went a little crazy with the lace and fabric flower garland. This is the first baby girl we've had that I've been able to set up a sweet nursery corner for.
I was looking for a garland to sew but didn't really want to sew and for some reason pulled out the bag of lace. One piece led to another and another. I did have to sew the fabric flowers because I couldn't find my glue gun.

We received two little outfits as a gift and I was finally able to buy some baby gowns and hats. I need to find two more gowns and then I will have bedtime covered.
This may be her going home outfit. I was looking for something less bright but I really like this little top. I almost bought it before Christmas and when we went back to Target a few weeks ago I grabbed it along with some sparkly purple leggings off the clearance rack. I wanted a dress but didn't want to put tights on her until her belly button was healed so I think this is a good compromise. It's definitely feminine enough!
The first thing I bought for the baby were these little socks at Ross. Aren't they too much? I don't usually buy such fancy things but I couldn't resist.
And here is a little heart swag that I made with the leftover yarn from the blanket I knitted.
I am feeling pretty good. I've been frustrated with my morning fasting blood glucose. No matter how much I cut the carbs I can't get below 89-95. I also think I may have lost a little weight by restricting the carbs. For this weekend I'm going back to my usual level and will wait to worry about it after I see my midwife on Monday. She ordered an A1C at my last appointment but never gave me a call so I assume I was in the normal range. If I am I hope I won't have to monitor my levels as much. I will not go crazy and eat anything I want but will continue with about 25 grams of starchy carbs(squash or bananas) per meal and snack.
I haven't been walking as much as usual this week. I've been really tired and having more trouble sleeping so I'm trying to rest more. I have about an hour early each morning when I can't sleep and am usually hungry so that is quite annoying! I just lie there and pray and think about my babe and then fall asleep again. I'm only able to sleep for up to 2 and a half hours at a time and then I have to get up and walk around to get the circulation to my legs going again. I think my cramps are more about circulation than anything else right now. Sometimes I think 6 more weeks seems like an eternity when I can't sleep for very long. I get better sleep with a newborn than I do right now. I know I will survive and I am grateful that everything else is going well.
So that's it here in baby land. I'm just waiting and preparing for my little one.
