This year I thought it would be neat to track the books my children read so in September I hung a piece of twin by each desk. I found some simple leaves and stars to print and when the children finish a book I write the title on a shape for them to hang on their twine.
It's a fun visual reminder of all the reading they have done. I record the books they have read on a reading blog which I keep for each student and each year in case we want to document their work later.
Do you have any fun ways to motivate your children to read?
