We have been crafting to get ready for Valentine's Day.
This family tree was a gift a few years ago. It fits the heart theme. There is one heart for each family member and a couple extra- just in case.
The first time I made these was with my two oldest sons when they were little boys. I like repeating crafts once in awhile to remind me of the sweet old days. One day these days will be golden too.
I taught the children how to make the paper hearts the other day and they had fun making them and then decorating the house.
I even made cookies with the children today. They are healthy but do have some honey for sweetness. I found the recipe at Pecanbread. Scroll down to stage three and find the Cookie Cutter Cookies recipe. I rolled the dough between two sheets of plastic wrap and let it cool to firmness in the freezer before cutting.
This weekend I will make some homemade healthy chocolates as a surprise. As I work I will try to take pics and share recipes in case you are interested. I'm planning peanut butter cups and turtles but am not sure what else I'll feel like putting together.
Are you having fun getting ready for next week?
