Take Back the Land is a book written to teens and young adults to inspire them to step up and act as the Joshua generation which will go out and and make changes in our country and world. It is written especially for homeschool students and graduates but any young Christian will be able to apply the advice given by the author to his life. Rick Boyer includes 12 chapters which explain the problem areas and how to make changes in each. Some of the chapter included are Education, The Media, The Arts, The Family, The Church, and Where Do I Start?
The author recommends that parents also read this book and I'm glad I did! I found lots of inspiration for my own life and will have to make some changes in order to inspire my own children. Every chapter was full of gems. Mr. Boyer's writing style is warm and motivating. I appreciate his advice to the young person to consult parents as he sets out to make changes where he has an influence. He gives the reader action steps to take in each area that he discusses and shares examples for those who have gone out to influence the world around them.
This book will be included in my homeschool curriculum for my teens. I will assign a chapter each week which we can then discuss and apply. I hope to see some exciting changes in our family's future as we seek to go out into the world and influence it for the better. This is a must read for Christian teens and young adults!
