That's me flexing my awesomeness up there.
We spent a lot of time at the park on base during our vacation to see my son's graduation from basic training. I was watching my peeps climb the wall and wondered if I could do it too. My 17 year old encouraged me so I went for it.
So it's not that far up but I didn't think I could heft my own weight up there with my previously weak upper body.
And I made it. It was so fun I climbed up again. And then I conquered my fear of heights(a little tiny bit) and climbed back down. Now that was a confidence booster!
Three of my boys climbed up with me.
My husband also played with the kids quite a bit. That's the first time we've played with them instead of just watching in a long time.
Jacob snuck in a pic of me sliding after I asked him to hold my camera. Naughty boy!
It felt so good to get out in the sun and I even got a mild sunburn. I hope those few days of warmth and sunshine will keep me going until springlike weather reaches our location.
I guess you're never too old for the playground. I was waiting to take a ride in the lady bug but forgot by the time the kids were finished. He misses his car, can you tell
This week I'm recovering from a cold we picked up in San Antonio but next week I'll get back to my regular exercise program. The benefits of eating lightly are that I have lost three pounds and .75 inches since two weeks ago!
I'm linking up with Fit Mommy Friday over at Tea Time with Annie Kate.
