I hurt my back by weeding for an hour each morning, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I was mostly working while I sat on a milk crate. I have decided that I will listen to Julie Tupler's advice and only do things if I can hold my tummy in to the 5th floor. That means no weeding, bending over to pick something up and many other things. I'm going to try to focus on what I can do which is walk around, sit up straight in a chair and sleep. Hopefully, my back will feel better soon because it really hurts!
I've come to the conclusion that the wii fit board is not accurate for weight. Or at least our floor is not level enough to make it accurate unless you set it in the same exact spot each time. It told me I had gained over 3 pounds this week so I will not believe it anymore or even weigh myself again. I mean it this time!
My tummy has not shrunk at all. I thought it was looking smaller in the evenings but this morning my measurement was the same as when I started. I think it may actually be smaller in the evening but pops out again while I'm sleeping. I do wear the splint at night but no matter how tightly I put it on it schooches up around my ribs so it isn't holding my tummy in place. I bought a tummy trimmer last week which I am wearing during the day with the splint and will try wearing at night to see if that helps. I am doing all of the exercises but I have not been careful enough about what I do during the day(see paragraph 1).
I'm still working on the eating only three meals per day with no snacks. I woke up Thursday night starving! No matter how much I eat at each meal I'm still hungry again before it's time to eat. I've been super hungry by dinner time and have moved my dinner time an hour ahead. Supposedly, this should start working in 4-6 weeks. I've been eating this way for over two weeks. I'm also supposed to eat as early as possible after waking in the morning. Right now I'm able to finish breakfast right about an hour after waking. I might have to think of some foods I can keep ready to go in the fridge for breakfast so I don't have to waste so much time cooking. But cold chicken salad or hard boiled eggs do no appeal to me in the morning! Here's where I'm getting this advice if you're curious. I'm not eating that low in the carbs because I started reading this blog and began to worry about how low my carbs have been over the years so now I'm eating fruit three times per day as it is allowed on the GAPS diet protocol which I'm still sticking to for gut health. I did add some dark chocolate in this week as a treat.
I hope I have a better report next week!
