My daughters have six brothers. They are in the middle of the bunch. Hannah, the oldest, is 11 and child number four, while Sarah is 7 and child number six. I recently bought a book about growing up for my oldest daughter and we are reading it together.
Sarah wouldn't be left out so she will be joining us once a week or so for girl time. We are also reading a book called Being a Good Friend, Some Principles to Grow By, it's an ebook by Mike Gibson. Next on our list might be Beautiful Girlhood and Anne of Green Gables which was my favorite when I was Hannah's age.
During our first reading time which we held in the master bedroom a few of the boys wandered in and had to be sent back out. I suggested the girls make a door hanger for our next meeting. Cute!
