I'm So Tired (TMI) and Some Natural Remedies
*Since I decided to ramble through this post I will put the remedies in italics in case that is what you are here looking for*
I haven't slept well the last few nights and today I'm really tired. We had some sinus effecting cold which is just now catching up with me so that is part of the reason I have not slept well. It is also making me feel strange. I have had a prickly scalp off and on for the last two days and moments of dizziness. Oh, and two days ago the pressure was pretty bad. I inhaled eucalyptus oil and crushed garlic and that helped to break up the sinus pressure.
My husband had to go to work really early two of the mornings so I had to wake up and make sure there weren't any strange noises outside which led to me checking to make sure the door was locked and walking out to the office to get the cordless phone. Then I lay awake for awhile before finally falling back asleep until my normal wake up time. I'm proud to report that each morning, except today, I got out of bed on time.
This morning I woke up at 4am to ovulation cramps and couldn't go back to sleep until after I had applied some tiger balm to my tummy and lower back and turned on my heating pad. I let myself sleep in to try to make up for my loss of sleep the other nights and didn't get up 'till 8:30!
I think I need to take some Valerian tincture tonight! I also need to remind myself to use it next month for the few days before I ovulate. I don't know why but I always have a hard time sleeping those nights.
I'm researching what to use to help with the ovulation cramping and am going to try the wild yam oil topically I made last year again. I will also up my dose of evening primrose oil and make sure I am drinking red raspberry leaf tea each day. I have been using an alcohol based chaste tree berry(vitex) extract each day to help with hormonal balance since last November and have seen slight improvement. I might try capsules instead in case my body is not processing the alcohol tincture properly. I'm also going to try a cal/mag supplement to help with muscle pain. I'm thinking of going through another period of milk thistle seed use to make sure my liver is healthy. Do you have any other ideas for me? I told my husband that I could get pregnant and that would solve the problem for awhile. He didn't have any response to that suggestion, lol.
Disclaimer thing: I am not a doctor and have shared simple remedies I use. This is in no way medical advice. You should always do your own research and/or talk to your doctor before using herbs, etc.
