Go Trybe is an internet membership website that teaches children and teens about nutrition and wellness and offers motivation to get fit in a fun atmosphere. There are three different levels or trybes on the site. Zoodoos is the trybe for elementary aged children, Trybe 180 is for 6th through 8th grade students and Nextrybe is for High School students.
The website has forums available for the students to discuss how to use Go Trybe, make friends, and have general discussions. They can also add friends to a friends list. They can post a shout out on their page or the page of their friend.
Your child can earn points by completing workouts and answering questions about nutrition, wellness, or motivation. Points are used to rank users and can be used to customize the avatar. You can also earn badges by completing exercise routines, answering quizzes, and earning points.

When your child logs in for the day he can view a nutrition and motivation video and answer a quiz to earn points. There is also a wellness section to read and a question to answer. Under the tab, My Go Trybe, he can visit the forums, update his My Page and profile. When he visits the My Avatar tab, he can visit his closet to change the avatar's clothing, go shopping for new items, or change his avatar's look.
I did not find an option for the child to log any activity besides the workouts at the website. I think that would be helpful for children who would rather play sports or if they exercise at school.
My son didn't like Go Trybe at all. He is also more interested in sports and not at all interested in aerobics or stretching. The website doesn't have many workouts led by men which would make my son more likely to use them.
I thought the way you could build a workout was pretty neat, although I would have liked to see more choices for young men. The video clips were short and interesting. I think the workouts would be more appealing to girls.
Nathan says, "I thought it was kinda childish. The workouts weren't that good. I didn't like them."
