My First Mostly Homeschooled Graduate

Thanks to my mom for this photo.  I was too busy to take pictures.
Here is my first High School graduate.  We homeschooled almost all the way.  He spent the last semester of his Junior year at New Mexico Military Institute and his Senior year at a local charter school.  We had a get together at our house before the ceremony since it was held in the evening.  He opened gifts before the ceremony.

Then it was time for a quick photo op with us before he left.  We followed a little later.  Excuse my crazy expression.  I don't like having my picture taken especially when flash is involved.  I wish I would have thought to have a family photo taken.

Wow, I look short next to my son and husband!

Here he is with his friend who was also his Prom date and the class Valedictorian.  Caleb was second in his class of about 30.

He is enrolling in our local community college to begin studying to be an Engineer.  Well, that's the plan for now.  He's also looking for a job which is proving difficult to find in our local economy.  If he doesn't find employment soon I will hire him as a math tutor in our homeschool and pay him room and board.  He loves math and I do not so it will be the perfect arrangement!
