Fit Mommy Friday

These apple blossoms have nothing to do with this post.

My back has been a mess this week.  I think the new stretches are making my hips and shoulders even out which hurts!  The pain is worth it if everything will get lined up again and I can do more.  On Wednesday I raked a little and then went for a 15 minute walk at a fast pace and my back was aching for the rest of the day.  That evening I went outside and did some more work anyway and was in lots of pain Thursday.  I did my stretches this morning and now the pain is almost gone!  Hopefully, I can have a few days of relief before it starts in again.

But flowers make me happy.

I cut down my exercise a lot to give my muscles time to heal.  I've been stretching each day and trying to walk around inside the house as much as possible.  I'm allowing myself a little gardening work.  I was going to do the T-Tapp basic workout this week but couldn't after I hurt my lower back.  I hope to add it in one day next week.  When I'm consistently pain free I will work on slowly adding in some strength training.  I will also build up to walking each day.

Happy relaxes me.

I'm lowering my carbs because I do think I was gaining fat weight.  I gained a quarter inch in my arms, lower things, and half an inch in my pecs this week as proof.  I am going to try to keep them around 15 per meal with less than 10 for a daily snack.  I've been craving raw food so I will make sure I eat something raw and something fermented with each meal and snack.  I started yesterday and I noticed less hunger right away but I was crankier.

Which helps me feel better.

I lost 2.6 pounds for the week.  I was having hormonal issues last week so that's probably some of it.  I have a hard time losing 1 pound a week no matter what I do so this was surprising!  I would love to lose each week but just not gaining any more would make me happy.  I'm still 3 pounds above my lowest weight of this year.  I think some of it may be inflammation from my ongoing back issues.  I'm taking cod liver oil every day and hope it helps to diminish some of the inflammation.

I need to find some newer flowers outside to take pictures of.

That's about it for my week.  I'm going back not forward in exercise but that's o.k.  I'm ready to listen to my body and be patient instead of forcing it to get stronger.

How was your week?
