Saturday afternoon I went into my room, opened the closet door and grabbed a pair of shoes as my husband talked to me about something. I looked down at the shoes, slipped them on and then we left the house. We headed to Target so my 9 year old could spend some of his birthday money.
Yes, my floor needs to be vacuumed.
When we walked into Target my left hip felt a little funny and by the time we got back into the car after walking around for 30 minutes my left foot hurt. I took my shoe off to massage my foot. When we got out at the next stop I looked at my right foot as I stepped out of the car and thought "hmm, that's funny, I thought I put my brown shoes on." Then I looked down at my left foot and realized I did put my brown shoes on, well, one of them.
I know you wanna be as cool as I am!
I called my husband and nine year old over to look at my feet and then we all started laughing. I almost waited in the car while my husband went into the store to look for dress pants. I hope no one noticed! Then we went to another store and finally to Dillard's. My husband was looking for new shoes and I almost didn't go into the shoe department 'cause you know everyone who works there is looking at your shoes. I humbled myself and walked through the shoe department.
No wonder my foot, ankle, and hip hurt after walking around in this "pair" of shoes for an hour!
When we got home I invited the rest of the children to check out my shoes and have a good laugh at my expense and then I took some pictures to share with you.
This morning my teen said something about not wanting to be seen in public with me because of the way I dressed yesterday. I have to agree!
