Saturday morning my husband wanted to take the children on an adventure. So off we went for a drive in the mountains. We stopped for a picnic lunch. Lily was thirsty.
The forced group picture. I promised it would be the only one but later broke that promise and took another.
I haven't seen these in a year or two.
After lunch we headed up Sandia peak. We survived the windy road and received this view as a reward.
That is Albuquerque waaaaaay down there.
The wildflowers were blooming.
It was nice and cool up there. Such a nice break from the summer heat.
I sent Jacob out onto the deck of the gift shop to get some pictures.
He even remembered to use the macro setting. See, he does listen to me.
This is the view from the other side. It made me miss living in the mountains a little.
It was a relaxing day with nowhere to be and nothing to do!
