Here it is. I think it looks oddly cute. I don't know if or with what I will top the bricks off.
I bought the water plants at our local feed store. The one in the pot is about to flower. If it turns out really pretty I'll post a pic.
The pot is a little too tall for the sink but I don't care. I'm so happy to have my first water garden to play with!
I planted vinca, moss rose, marigold, and dianthus in the bed. Here is a close up of the vinca.
And here is the dianthus.
We are going to extend the chicken yard so the fence will be the back of the new bed. I think I will plant some shrubs or something along the fence. I'm trying to find some interesting plants that are evergreen if anyone has suggestions for me. The bed will be as wide as the one in the foreground of the picture below.
I can't wait to get some grass planted. I have two smaller beds in the new area. I'm going to plant them with veggies tomorrow.
